  2. Sand

  3. Shovel

  4. Level

  5. Tape measure

BUILDING YOUR FIRE PIT

The first step is to determine how big you want your fire pit to be. (We recommend doing some rough math equations based on how many friends you actually want to come over and hang out around the fire with you.) Most fire pits are about 36-44 inches.

Once you've got your fire pit measured, you'll dig a 12 inch hole in the middle of it. Then you'll fill that hole with sand. You'll want the sand to be level with the surrounding ground.

Now your going to lay your stones down around the perimeter of the hole one level at a time. Continue stacking your stones until they are 12 inches off of the ground.

The final step is to pour in four more inches of sand inside of the stones.

You can come down to Santee hardware for all of your supplies. And if this seems like too much work, we've got fire pits that you can buy to save some time.
